Dawn Bibby, the queen of papercrafting, and the gang from QVC will be with us this year on Friday and Saturday. You can catch up with Dawn at the Demonstration Theatre where she’ll be sharing some of her design secrets and newest creations and introducing us to some of her very special tips and techniques. Tickets for the Demonstration Theatre are just £3 and can be purchased from the Workshop Registration Desk on the lower ground floor when you arrive. The shows will run four times daily.
Maria Diaz has always loved art and needlecraft. After working at DMC for eight years Maria decided to go it alone and is now an independent designer. Next year Maria celebrates 20 years as a needlecraft designer, so to mark this milestone is launching her own website. Maria will be at the show with her new book Cross Stitch for Babies.
Making her debut appearance at the show is Emily Peacock, Cross Stitcher’s tapestry designer, who specialises in designing contemporary cross stitch cushions. Emily’s background is in graphic design and this feeds into her work with emphasis on flat bright colours and an exploration of typefaces. At the show you can enjoy a closer look at Emily’s tapestry designs in her inspirational gallery.
Take a tour of the Best of British Scrapbook Gallery. Featuring layouts from our six talented winners it’s your chance to get a close-up view of their designs.
